What happens when you choose us for your new piercing?

1. Even if you are only thinking about having a new piercing it's a good idea to come in & discuss your ideas with Malcolm before you finally decide what & where your new piercing will be & to check out our salon.
2. People usually find that we can put their fears to rest with this initial consultation so no time worrying about the unknown beforehand.
3. We use various anaesthetics to numb most piercing areas.
4. We do have an appointment system to avoid waiting, but appointments are not always needed.

• When you come in for your new piercing, you'll be welcomed by one of our advisors & asked to read a form asking if you have any existing medical problems. You will also be asked to sign a consent form requesting piercing & listing your rights.
• Malcolm will welcome you along with your parent/partner or friend to come in & discuss your new piercing & advise of things to avoid etc.
• Anaesthetics will then be applied if appropriate.
• The piercing area will be cleaned and the position marked out. You will be shown this position to ensure it's where you imagined it to be.
• We avoid the use of clamps wherever possible. It takes Malcolm less than ½ a second to actually create a new piercing.
• We utilise the single use cannula needle method of piercing, as we find this technique much easier on clients with a better healing prognosis.
• Appropriate new sterile titanium jewellery will be placed in your piercing. We will let you check out your new piercing before a sterile dressing is applied if appropriate.
• We then go over aftercare instructions together & you can sit down for a while if you need. We will give you verbal & written aftercare instructions with a demonstration. You will be encouraged to come in during your healing process, just so we can keep up to date & offer you any support or advice.
• During your piercing appointment, everything will be explained to you & we will go forward at a pace that suits you, so there's no rushing you through. You only see a needle if you want to.
