- Thoroughly wash & dry hands using an antibacterial soap & disposable paper towel.
- Twice a day for the first two weeks & once a day for the second fortnight bathe your piercing with diluted Synapse Healing Serum. Gently wiggle new jewellery to allow serum to enter piercing. Using a clean cotton bud wipe away any matter away from piercing, leave scab if formed.
- After using the solution dry the area with a new cotton bud wiping away from the piercing.
- There is no need to constantly turn & twist new jewellery in the piercing. A gentle wiggle during cleaning is all that is usually needed. If turning jewellery to remove matter sticking to it, first soak piercing with dilute serum for a while then turn very gently & slowly to avoid damage to the delicate new skin forming inside the piercing.
- Do not wear tight clothes over your new piercing.
If a piercing has to be covered in a dry environment eg. sport, dirty work etc. then use a small gauze pad covered with micropore tape.
In wet environments, use a special waterproof dressing. Not all piercings can be covered effectively.
Do not cover new piercings with sticking plasters.
Protect & treat your new piercing with care, be gentle & keep it clean.
